01

Start with an ordinary morning.

Before imagining a new life, walk through an ordinary day. Where would you pick up a coffee? Is there a route you would enjoy taking twice a day? The answers tell you something a floor plan cannot.

02

Take the long way around.

A neighborhood reveals itself between the obvious destinations. Walk a parallel street, pause by a small shop and return at another time of day. Look for the places that make you want to slow down.

03

Make your own short list.

Choose three everyday things that matter most to you. A green space, an easy commute or a familiar local table can be more valuable than a long list of amenities you rarely use.
