Look a little closer.
The obvious features are only the beginning. We are interested in how the light falls, where the plan gives you room and what a place makes possible.
An independent point of view
Good spaces.
Human stories.
A home is a piece of architecture. It is also the place you put the kettle on, find your favourite chair and make a life. We care about both.
Mara Ellis / FounderMeet your next conversation
An eye for space.
An ear for you.
ORIEL is imagined as a small, independent property studio led by Mara Ellis. The starting point is simple: homes with a point of view deserve an equally considered introduction.
Our approach brings together a curiosity about architecture and a practical interest in how people live. A beautiful photograph may start the conversation. Your routines, plans and priorities give it direction.
Whether you are looking for more space, a different setting or a fresh way to present your home, we begin with a conversation about what matters to you.
Say hello to the studioORIEL and Mara Ellis are fictional identities created for this demonstration.
The way we see it
Three things
we come back to.
A clear perspective.
A personal approach.
Give the conversation time.
A good brief grows through listening. We leave space for the practical priorities, the half-formed ideas and the details you cannot put into a search box.
Keep things clear.
Thoughtful advice should be easy to understand. We explain our perspective, make room for questions and help you decide what deserves a second look.
A conversation is a good beginning
It begins
with a little
hello.
A new home. A change of scene. A possibility you haven’t quite put into words yet. We’d love to hear it.
