Enjoy the view, then turn around
Start with the part of the house that drew you in. Take time at the window or on the terrace. Then turn back towards the room. Where would you sit in the evening? Is there enough wall space for a bookcase? At the imagined Ridge House, a smaller sitting room accompanies the sea-facing living space, offering a choice of scale and mood.
Follow the daily routes
Walk through a familiar routine: arriving with shopping, making breakfast, putting away laundry or welcoming a guest. Notice the steps between levels and the relationship between rooms. A striking plan can make perfect sense for one household and less sense for another. There is no need to rush past practical questions simply because the outlook is memorable.
Keep a short list of questions
After a viewing, record what felt good and what needs a second look. Light, storage, privacy and outdoor space are useful places to start. Choose one or two priorities for a return visit. Our viewing planner helps organise those interests across the demonstration homes; it is an enquiry aid, with visit arrangements still to be discussed.
